Green Tea & Honey (delicious food. smart medicine.), a fun and informative conversation about food, health and joyful eating. Co-hosted by a doctor and a chef who both happen to LOVE food, the show’s mission is to prove, once and for all, that food can be delicious AND medicinal. Each show will focus on a different food, beverage, herb, spice or condiment and discuss its health benefits and how to buy, prepare and most importantly, enjoy it fully.

Dr. Aimée ‘Honey’ Shunney, a naturopathic physician in private practice in Santa Cruz, CA who specializes in women’s health, functional endocrinology, and family medicine. She blends conventional medical diagnosis and treatment with the use of natural therapeutics, including dietary and lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplements, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and bio-identical hormones. In 2010 and 2011, she was voted Best Naturopathic Doctor in Santa Cruz in the Metro Santa Cruz poll.
In addition to seeing patients, Dr Shunney is a dynamic educator, radio personality, and writer on a mission to empower people to take charge of their health with integrative medicine. Whether speaking to health professionals or laypeople, Dr. Shunney’s engaging style, her emphasis on patient-centered care, and her passionate belief in the health benefits of joyful eating make her an audience favorite. She has lectured extensively to medical students and physicians, and she participates in teaching venues throughout the community.
Chef Jennifer ‘Green Tea’ Brewer, an in-demand nutritionist and natural foods chef who is on a mission to change the way people look at healthy food. Through cooking classes, interactive workshops and her online Healthy Meal Plan, she educates and inspires individuals to prepare healthy foods that unlock their body’s optimal potential AND taste amazing. Jennifer’s recipes have been featured on numerous websites, in magazines and in books, such as Free To Eat: The Proven Recipe for Permanent Weight Loss. Jennifer is a graduate of the Chef’s Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Cookery School in New York City where she was a James Beard Scholarship Recipient and she also has a Masters Degree in Nutrition.
As an advocate of eating local, seasonal foods, Jennifer is a member of the Chef’s Collaborative and has taught cooking classes for the Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF). Currently, she donates a portion of her business proceeds to support CAFF’s Farm-To-School Program. Jennifer lives with her personal recipe tester–her husband, Eric in beautiful Santa Cruz, California where she is a regular instructor at New Leaf Community Markets.
